In women is rest, peas, and pacience --
  No season -- for soth, outht of charite --
Bothe be nyght and day -- thei haue confidence --
  All wey of treasone -- Owt of blame thei be --
  No tyme as men say -- Mutabilite --
    They haue without nay -- but stedfastnes --
  In theym may ye neuer fynde, y gesse -- Cruelte
    Suche condicons they haue more and lesse --
