John Hall Wheelock
John Hall Wheelock (September 9, 1886-March 22, 1978) was an American poet. He was a descendant of Eleazar Wheelock, founder of Dartmouth College. He wrote fourteen books of poetry and was co-winner of the 1962 Bollingen Prize. As an editor, he is noted for discovering young poets like May Swenson and James Dickey.
